Valentines Special

Everybody would have been giving it a good-go for Valentines 2010 this year. What was special and what was irritating was the fact that CNY came in conjunction with Valentines this annum. Irritating eh, most of the shops were significantly closed except for this florist shop somewhere near Jurong East Swimming complex, who kept her shop opened, for Valentines 'celebratees'.

I and Gowri met up, on a abrupt note to celebrate Valentines 2010, not as lovers. But years ago, I came to know Gowri on Valentines Day via Friendster. We ignited our friendship then, and ever since, for 4 whole years, the ignition did not get extinguished.

Such is the heart of true Friendship.And she told me one thing while we were talking over life, no matter who is it, if there is a word against my friend, I will fight against it. Such is the heart of a true friend. I really thank this adorable person and specially, Friendster!

Sentosa was our plan, and we were checking out the new updates in Sentosa Island and Vivo. The day ended with a splendid evening view facing Sentosa on Vivo's terrace.

I am wondering how long it will take me to complete my things on time. Seriously I am behind time for most of the things that I intend to do. This is quite irritating on my part, and seriously, a major lack of discipline. Let tuesday be a turning point. My friend was explaining the same thing to me, and he had a good reason which was having fever for the last week. A non-disciplined mind will never make its point. Hence let me get my discipline in me and my motivation in place.

Hi friends, I want to include most of friends' photos (bw) in my photo marquee that is running on the left frame. If u want to let it run there, please do let me know. I would be most pleased to do that. On the otherwise, I will ask before displaying it there if i initiate.

Blog updates.

Google (Blogger) allows me to only update 10 emails with my blog sent to my friends' emails once I update in my blog, but of course, a 'text-only' version. I have only got 5 more e-mails left. Do let me know if you want to be in that option. :)

The Finishing Touch.

Love can be nurtured but can't be forced unto someone. Love someone for the way who he/she is. Accept only the person who loves for the way you are. Morning!

That was my first shout-out in Facebook today morning. Having woken up at 5plus, completing prayers. Facebook was the only thing I could think of as I sipped my 'teh' down. I do not post randomly anything from anywhere into my shout-outs. I post issues of what I come across in my life, what my friends share with me, things that affect me to a certain extent and true life incidents. In my facebook, it should rightfully reach out to 556 souls out there. But not all 556 friends are going to view the live feed. However, there will be at least 10 souls who will come across that shout-out. For that 10 souls, I will post 100 shout-outs. Just don't force love unto someone. It seems so messed up in the end.

I am going to miss Durga Akka for a few days. She is leaving to KL after work today. Probably I will send her off at the airport today and have a good preview of my working environment. I have completed my video compilation, wrapped up Bala's gift, edited pictures from Gowri's cam. There is this second part of the list I have yet to complete. I am going to complete that, and give it a good finishing touch.

Just 2 more days to Valentines Day, and 2010 Valentines is not any special for me.

But I am more keen in getting my things done and complete by them Sunday. Hopefully my pay packet arrives in the weekend, if not I have to wait till CNY is over. Besides, I intend to gift a Parker pen to Bala for his birthday. Pray hard, that I do not foil my wrapping up of the gift. Because I can complete 21km in 2 hours but not wrapping a gift nicely. Four daisy flowers for Valentines Day. Who are the lucky ones? Let you know on Sunday.

Basically every relationship the human creates, haves, enjoys is based on Love. From Friendship to Parent-ship and more others to come. They are just different forms of Love, and in one or another, intense than one another. However, you can't compare love between friends, and the one you have with your significant other. You can't compare love of your parents with the one you have on your children. This is one lesson that I always remind my inner self whenever I get jealous of the one not showing love on me yet pouring it on others. Call me selfish, but that is Love. Even the selfishness that I show is a kind of Love too. It can be quite complexing, but trust me, takes time to understand such matters. Why would you even bother a person who does not even matter to you. Even enemity is a form of Love to me. You can only hate a person whom you have loved too much. I do not find any physics other than this. Love is never explainable.

Do you love me because I am beautiful ?

or am I beautiful because I am loved?

I just acknowledged this part of it. So in this Valentines, let's forget all our broken relationships and start afresh. Find a new meaning in Love, but do not find a meaning for Love. You can never succeed in that.

The Atharvaveda says that serving a guest is a sacrificial fire by itself. The custom of considering a guest as God and serving him is prevalent since the Vedic times. Parashar says प्रियो वा यदि वा व्देष्यो मूर्ख: पण्डित एव वा । वैश्वदेवे तु सम्प्राप्त: सोऽतिथि: स्वर्गसङ्गक्रम: ।। - पराशरस्मृति १.४०

Meaning: Irrespective of whether a guest is a friend or a foe, a foolish or a learned one he who arrives at the time of the ritual of Vaishvadev (a ritual of offering oblation to Agni, the deity of fire, performed daily before having a meal) bestows heavenly merits upon the host. - Parasharsmruti 1.40

Simple as a quote, but it tells me more. I decided to think about the quote at 3am while I was reading Richard's 'Gaining a leash on life'. What could be as worth as diamonds, I asked myself. I could find nothing else than the heart of my parents' and the love of my sisters'. What a thought, what a quote. I combined the both and sms-ed it to Tini, Ram Senthil, Naresh & Uthaya.

I pray to God to never let anyone shatter this wonderful family I have. Each day is a like a love Kaarthigei day in this beautiful house I was born in. Nothing beats the character of my beloved parents and yet nothing comes against this wonderful family which the Goddess has laid her special concern to it. In a family, where parents are treated as God equivalent, there is never a word of disrespect and ill-behaviour. Let no evil eye cast on this and for eternity, let the name of this family live.
